Ultrasound is very good at viewing soft tissue detail. We often are able visualize such organs as the spleen,liver,kidneys,urinary bladder,heart,blood vessels,pregnancy,lymph nodes to name a few. It greatly helps in our diagnosis of diseases. Also it aids in guiding a needle for collection of a fine needle aspirate for analysis in our lab.
